In this Movement workshop, we will explore the fundamentals of balance, strength and mobility. Wu and Kyle Fincham (Movement Brooklyn) will teach a class based around Work in Use’s recently launched collection of movement tools. This will be an active 60 minute class, please wear comfortable clothes.

Work in Use is a Providence, RI based design studio specializing in high-end movement tools. Unlike generic fitness equipment, these objects redefine how we think about form, materials, and aesthetics in our practice. Work in Use’ mission is to help people form a deeper understanding of their own bodies.

About Wu Wu is passionate about creating an active community of movers who are inspired by good design. Wu has a background in graphic design from the University of Texas and an MFA in Furniture Design from Rhode Island School of Design. She has been a movement practitioner studying the Ido Portal Method for four years. As a designer, educator, and woman, she is interested in reframing the way we understand our movement practice by looking at softness, shape and touch.

About Kyle Kyle Fincham is the founder of Movement Brooklyn. Kyle has been an online student of Ido Portal since early 2015. He also maintains a Wim Hof breathing practice and is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He travels the world attending movement workshops so that he can bring a variety of perspectives to his students.
